The workshop "Food from the sea – opportunities for Space - Aquaculture" will be held in Bari, Italy, next 9th July 2018, h15.00 – 18.00.

This Workshop, organised by the Aerospace Technological District of Apulia Region, (DTA, Distretto Tecnologico Aerospaziale), together with Planetek Italia will bring together representatives of scientific institutions and space industries, in order to interactively discuss about roles and benefits of Earth Observation technologies and services to support aquaculture.

The event is organized in the framework of the European cluster SpaceWave and will give the opportunity to learn about the support for aquaculture professionals for data optimization, monitoring of production sites, maximization of profitability. Hear about environmental monitoring solutions for water quality and red tide.

Presentation of case studies will also allow the audience to exchange about the role of aquaculture for the development of Blue Growth at global level.
