ISPRA, the Italian Agency for Environmental Protection and Technical Services, in conjunction with Planetek italia, has developed an interoperable cartographic reference system portal, using Cart@net Multiserver and ERDAS Image web Server.
Planetek Italia joins the consortium to perform land cover mapping for the European Environment Agency under the GMES joint programme of the European Space Agency and the European Commission. The initiative will cover 5,8 million square km at 20 m resolution.
