It will be held in Vienna, Austria, next 8-13 April, the EGU 2018 General Assembly, organized by the European Geosciences Union.
The EGU 2018 General Assembly is a major European event bringing together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geosciences.
This year's conference features a Union session on challenges for the geosciences, and debates on low-risk geoengineering and on threats for life on Earth. Press conference topics include: new results from ESA and NASA missions, what's at risk from coastal hazards, and the 2017 wildfire season, to mention a few.
