Space4Toulouse: Exchanging experience in using satellite applications to build sustainable cities.

As growing urbanisation is challenging the way we live and interact with the natural environment, Eurisy launches the “Space For Cities” initiative to promote the use of satellite applications to make our cities healthier, cleaner, safer, and more efficient.
This Session will present three different applications of satellite data and signals to improve cities’ efficiency and sustainability. The experiences of use satellite applications will be presented by local authorities and private companies providing key services in cities. Representatives from the Municipality of Toulouse and contacting companies will be invited to express their needs and to evaluate the transferability of the experiences presented to the Toulouse’s context.

Organized by Eurisy in the framework of the Eurisy’s “Space for Cities” initiative and in cooperation with CNES and NEREUS, the event is held within the Toulouse Space Show, a major global forum dedicated to novel Space solutions, future trends and the new Space economy. The session will present three different applications of satellite data and signals to improve cities’ efficiency and sustainability. The experiences of use satellite applications will be presented by local authorities and private companies providing key services in cities.

Planetek Italia will join the event with a presentation titled "City of Bari (Italy): geoanalytics from Earth Observation in support of Urban Plan monitoring".
