Presentazione_infoOverview MARINE-EO Info Day Webinar - January 14th, 2021 (13:00 - 17:00 CET) As leader of its Consortium, Planetek Hellas was invited to showcase the three downstream services developed for the SATOCEAN thematic area "Marine Environment Monitoring and Climate Change". Register here MARINE-EO is the first Earth Observation Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) project funded by Horizon 2020. It started in January 2017 and is approaching its conclusion in January 2021. The project teams up a group of 5 maritime authorities (the buyers’ group) and a group of 4 scientific and technical organizations with significant experience in EO and maritime matters (the technical advisors) to achieve maritime "Awareness" in two thematic areas: Marine Environment Monitoring and Climate Change and Maritime Security To this end, Marine-EO has implemented a tender procedure for the procurement of R&D for two respective sets (SATOCEAN & SATSURVEILLANCE) of new Innovative Downstream Earth Observation and Copernicus enabled Services for Integrated maritime environment, towards concrete public sector needs. Contracted Consortia have participated in three consecutive Phases of the MARINE-EO PCP tender procedure to develop, test and validate solutions for each thematic area. Planetek Hellas as been leading one of the winning Consortia of the MARINE-EO PCP Project, and was awarded the development of innovative downstream EO and Copernicus services for integrated maritime environment. The purpose of the MARINE-EO Info Day Webinar is: to present the outcomes of the MARINE-EO PCP project to stakeholders, public authorities and industry related to Maritime Awareness, to generate discourse and to receive feedback from the participants about the project's methodology and the solutions that emerged, to bring together stakeholders in order to discuss the continuation of the MARINE-EO related activities after the end of the project. The event is organized by the Marine-EO consortium under the auspices of the European Commission. Participation in the event is free of charge. Registration is required at least 5 days before the event (preferably before January 8th 2021).
