Planetek Italia will join the 6th World Landslide Forum “Landslides Science for sustainable development” that will be held in Florence at the Palazzo dei Congressi from 14 to 17 November 2023.
The event is jointly organized by the International Consortium on Landslides (Kyoto, Japan), the International Programme on Landslides (IPL) and the UNESCO Chair on Prevention and Sustainable Management of Geo-hydrological Hazards at the University of Florence. Focused on Landslide Science for Sustainable Development, the event will contribute to the Kyoto 2020 Commitment for global promotion of understanding and reducing landslide disaster risk (KLC2020).
World Landslide Forums have been organized every three years since the first forum in Tokyo, Japan, in 2008. They are a common platform for scientists, engineers, practitioners and policy makers who are involved in landslide disaster risk reduction to present their latest progress.
Planetek Italia joins the exhibition and the conference to present the latest EO-based solutions and services for landslide and ground motion monitoring supporting land planning, civil protection, and infrastructure construction and management. The use cases presented are:
- Mitigating the hydrogeological risk of the Apulia Region;
- Landslide risk assessment for the reconstruction after earthquake in the framework of Central Apennines District Authority's (ABDAC) ReSTART project for a safe and resilient reconstruction.
Thursday, 16 NOVEMBER 2023 - Hall 3 - h 08:30
