Overview

Planetek Italia will be present at Ecomondo from 5 to 8 November 2024 in Rimini, Italy.

Ecomondo is the international reference event in Europe and the Mediterranean basin for technologies, services and industrial solutions in the green and circular economy sectors. An event that for years has become the meeting and dialogue point between industries, stakeholders, policy makers, opinion leaders, local authorities, the world of research and institutions with the aim of systematizing the key elements that define the strategies of development of the European Union's environmental policy.

Planetek Italia in this edition proposes a rich and structured program, focused on space based solutions to support professionals, companies and institutions operating in the Water Utilities and Blue Economy sectors engaged in the design and management of infrastructures, in sustainability programs, in monitoring the environment and human activities.

Visit the "Our Oceans from Space" Exhibition promoted by UNESCO for the Oceans Decade, and organized by Planetek Italia for Ecomondo, to showcase how satellites can help monitoring and safeguarding our oceans and marine coastal areas. Where: Blue Economy Sector - Pad. B8 / Stand 115- 214 / Sala Blue Economy. Official Opening Tuesday 5th, 16:00 talk with Esa and Planetek.
Wednesday 6 November, 14:00-15:00, Sala Gardenia, pad. D7. Join the Workshop of the Ulysses project, to meet professionals and bodies dealing with coastal planning and resilience, and learn about the latest data and maps of coastal areas across the Mediterranean (delivered by Ulysses for the EU and available as open data).
Wednesday 6 November, 15:00-17:00, Sala Diotallevi 1, Hall Sud. Join the "Osservazione della Terra - Scenari del prossimo futuro" Conference, to learn about the scenarios and future opportunities of the Italian aerospace sector. Vincenzo Barbieri, CMO of Planetek Italia, joins the panel to talk about the role of Planetek, as a major player in the aerospace research, national and international projects, and as a provider of geoinformation services to support utilities, Oil & Gas and energy operators, and engineering for infrastructure, environmental protection.
Thursday 7 November, 10:00 - 13:00 Sala Mimosa, pad. B6. Innovating the Mediterranean: Youth-Driven Green and Blue Transitions! Award Innovation for a Mediterranean Food Transition. The empowerment of youth entrepreneurs and young students/professionals to support Green and Blue Transition.
Thursday 7 November, 14:00-15:30, Sala Girasole, pad. B7. Join the Workshop "Lo Spazio per le Water Utilities", to learn how satellite intelligence supports Water Utilities in the design, management, maintenance of assets and infrastructure, in land and environmental monitoring, as well as in ESG programs.
